Before sending any emails, the ACI Platform automatically filters your accounts to ensure only valid, targeted records are included in the campaign. This filtering happens immediately after you select a Client Code and Letter Type — you do not need to manually curate a list. The system applies two eligibility conditions to determine the final set of records included in the campaign.
Only accounts that meet both eligibility criteria are included in the campaign. There is no manual override — if an account does not satisfy either condition, it is excluded automatically.

Eligibility Criteria

An account must meet both of the following conditions to be included in an email campaign:
  1. The account is linked to the selected Client Code. The system uses the Client Code you chose in the Portfolio Center to scope the search. Accounts assigned to any other Client Code are not evaluated.
  2. The account has a non-blank email address on file. The system checks the email field for each account in scope. Any account where that field is empty is excluded from the campaign.

What Happens to Excluded Records

Records that do not have an email address on file are skipped automatically. They will not appear in the campaign, the email log, or the Email Summary tab. The system does not assign an error status or flag these accounts — they are simply bypassed during the filtering step. If you need to reach excluded accounts, update their email address in the account record and include them in a future campaign.
Review account email fields before launching a campaign to maximize reach. A quick data audit — checking for missing or malformed email addresses — ensures the highest possible number of eligible records when the campaign runs.
